I remember the first time I ever saw Riverdance & I also remember the first time I
ever saw The Josephine Baker
Story (both on TV). Both
times were in the early - mid 90's and I remember them because they
had a similar impact on me - the glee feeling! I am not a dancer, professional
I mean but I do dance in my living room, more like Josephine that the
disciplined Riverdance Irish dancers.
Discovering Shala's Rabbit Hole ignited
that similar feeling in me again. The excitement that you know has purpose but
you are not sure what that purpose is at the time. In 1995 I didn't know the
connection I would have with Riverdance or Josephine Baker later in my life (if
you believe in 6 degrees of separation that is)! So Josephine returns
to me, I've found her here. I'm finding meaning in all my experiences, past
& present.
“…I
improvised... Each time I leaped I seemed to touch the sky and when I regained
earth it seemed to be mine alone.” Josephine Baker 1906 -1975
